The Primrose Trust funded work to this landmark feature in the landscape close to the Cliffs of Moher in 2017. Works included repairs to the stone urn on top of the column and to the top courses of stonework, and removing iron clamps and replacing them with stainless steel fixings. As part of the job, vegetation was removed and the stonework repointed with lime mortar.
